  Novel hydrazides of teicoplanin, with antibiotic activity mainly on gram positive bacteria. The compounds of the invention are prepared by reacting an optionally protected teicoplanin starting material with a suitable hydrazine derivative in the presence of a condensing agent and an organic solvent.
