  Several alkyl hydrogen methylphosphonates of structure RO(HO)P(O)Me were synthesised by a three-stage route [R = i-Pr, n-Bu, i-Bu, s-Bu, pinacolyl Me3C-CH(Me)-, cyclopentyl and cyclohexyl].
