N , N ′, N ′′ - peralkylated guanidinium chlorides and N , N ′, N ′′ - peralkylated guanidines were prepared from N , N ′-peralkylated chloroformamidinium chlorides. The alkylation of the guanidines affords N , N ′, N ′′ - persubstituted guanidinium chlorides bromides, iodides, alkylsulfates, and tetrafluoroborates.
