A dicyanamide-bridged polymeric nickel(II) complex, [NiL(MeOH)(μ2-N(CN)2)]n, where L is the anionic form of the Schiff base 4-chloro-2-[(3-dimethylaminopropylimino)methyl] phenol, was synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectrum, and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The crystal of the complex crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P21/c, with unit cell dimensions a = 9.860(1)
