    The present invention relates to a process for linking two molecules by means of a Diels Alder reaction with inverse electron requirement (DARinv), comprising the following steps: reaction of a (a) triazine or tetrazine with one or more electron-attracting substituents on the ring as a diene component, the electron-attracting substituents being selected from: COOR C(O)NR 2 CX 3 (X=halogen) halogen CN SO 2 —R or SO 3 —R PR 2 wherein R═H, alkyl, aryl, heterocycle, which in turn may be substituted, where appropriate, with alkyl, OH, SH, halogen, aryl, heterocycle, nitro, carboxyamido or amine group. —heterocyclic rings having 1, 2 or 3 N, O or S atoms with a ring size of 5 or 6 ring members, which are substituted with at least one carboxyl, sulfonic acid or phosphone group with (b) an isolated double bond or triple bond in a (hetero)carbocyclic ring or an isolated olefinic double bond or triple bond in a linear or branched hydrocarbon chain which may also contain heteroatoms, where appropriate, as a dienophile component.

    A shape-memory self-healing polymeric network (SMSHP) is useful as a molded part, a coating, or as a matrix for a composite that can be repaired by heating to a controlled temperature. The SMSHP has thermally reversible repeating units where a thermally reversible adduct is situated between two common linking units formed during a polymerization process between thermally reversible monomers and cross-linking monomers. Optionally, other repeating units can be present from other monomers. Shape-memory results when the SMSHP is warmed to a temperature in excess of its glass transition temperature and self-healing then proceeds when a higher temperature is achieved where thermally reversible adducts dissociates to complementary groups that subsequently reform the adduct without distortion of the memorized shape. The thermally reversible adducts can be Diels-Alder (DA) adducts in a polyurethane, poly urea, or amine epoxy SMSHP network.

    Disclosed are a multifunctionalized polyethylene glycol derivative and a preparation method therefor. The derivative has an H-shaped structure as represented by formula (1) and comprises one linear core LPEG and four PEG branch chains, where n 1 , n 2 , n 3 , and n 4 respectively are the degrees of polymerization of the branch chains, U 1 and U 2 are trivalent branching groups connecting the core LPEG to two of the PEG branch chains, F 1 and F 2 contain a functional group or a protected form R 01 thereof and may or may not contain a branched group G, correspondingly, the number of R 01 is one or more, F 1 and F 2 are either identical or different, any one linking group in the molecule or any linking group formed with an adjacent heteroatom group can either remain stable or be degraded, and any one PEG segment in the molecule is discretely polydispersed or monodispersed. The multifunctional polyethylene glycol is flexible and diverse in terms of branch structures and the lengths of branching arms, has various parameters and performance indicators that are adjustable and easy to control, and has a broad applicability.
