  The present invention relates to a novel process for producing brominated acenaphthylene condensates (Con-BACN) starting from acenaphthene, and to a process for separating and recovering brominated acenaphthylene condensates in powder form. The brominated acenaphthylene condensates obtained by the process are excellent in their radiation-resisting and fire-retarding properties.
