  (EN) Bis-substituted methanes and undissociated methylene salts of the formula (Am)2Z wherein Am is bis-(1,4 dimethylaminophenyl) and Z is CH2 or CH+X- wherein X- is a suitable anion, all useful in the production of deeply colored cations of the formula (Am)2CH+. These deeply colored cations are in turn useful in making and using carbonless copy papers, as well as thermal copying papers for use with fax machines.(FR) L'invention concerne des méthanes bis-substitués et des sels de méthylènes non dissociés de la formule (Am)2Z. Dans cette formule, Am est le bis(1,4-diméthylaminophényle) et Z est CH2 ou CH+X-, où X- est un anion approprié. Ces composés sont tous utiles pour la production de cations présentant une très forte coloration, ayant la formule (Am)2CH+. Ces cations présentant une très forte coloration sont utiles pour des papiers permettant de réaliser des doubles sans papier carbone, ainsi que comme papier à copier pour des télécopieurs.
