  The invention relates to the use of particular antibacterial compounds, which are derived from alliaceae, as natural additives in animal feed, through their inclusion in the diet, for the prevention and/or treatment of digestive pathological processes without affecting the beneficial microbiota, said compounds being the following: - propyl propylthiosulfinate - n-butyl n-butylthiosulfinate - propyl propylthiosulfonate - a compound consisting of a mixture of E and Z isomers or of each of them separately: (E- and Z-4,5,9-trithiadodeca-1,6,11-triene-9-oxide) - 3-vinyl-4-H-1,2-dithiin - 2-vinyl-4-H-1,3-dithiin which can be used separately as the only pure active ingredients (purity greater than 95%), as combinations of several of them or in mixtures with other synergistic products; they may be in encapsulated structures, supported on different inert materials or food coatings forming part of the animal diet.
