    Spectral studies of multi-branched fluorescence dyes based on triphenylpyridine core
    摘要:
    A series of novel triphenylpyridine-containing triphenylamine derivatives have been carefully designed and prepared in good yields using the stepwise route reactions. The relationship of photoluminescence property and structure of compounds 9-13 was systematically investigated via UV-vis, fluorescence, thermogravimetric and electrochemical analyzer. The highest occupied molecular orbital and the lowest unoccupied molecular orbital distributions of compounds 9-13 were calculated by density functional theory method. The high fluorescence quantum yields, desirable the highest occupied molecular orbital levels and high thermal stability of compounds 9-13 indicate that the linkage of triphenylpyridine and triphenylamine is an efficient means to enhance hole-transporting ability and fluorescent quantum yield.     A novel class of gold (III) compounds with thermally stimulated delayed phosphorescence (TSDP) properties, methods of making and use thereof are disclosed. The gold (III) compound includes a triazine-containing cyclometalating tridentate ligand and one auxiliary ligand, both coordinated to a gold (III) metal center. The gold (III) compounds can be used as light-emitting material for fabrication of OLEDs. A novel concept of TSDP to harvest light emission from the higher energy triplet excited state via the up-conversion from the lowest-energy triplet excited state by efficient spin-allowed reverse internal conversion is also disclosed.

[Solution] Disclosed are a reversibly thermochromic composition including: (a) a specific pyridine derivative as an electron-donating color-developing organic compound; (b) an electron-accepting compound; and (c) a reaction medium which reversibly induces an electron transfer reaction between the component (a) and the component (b) in a specific temperature range, and a reversibly thermochromic microcapsule pigment encapsulating the same.
