By heating an equimolecular mixture of an amino alcohol and H2SO4 during an appropriated time (half an hour to some hours) at 180–200°C under reduced pressure, the corresponding aminoalkyl sulfuric monoester is obtained in very good yield.

Ionic liquids based on three‐membered ring aziridinium cations have been synthesized for the first time using a straightforward synthetic route. N‐butyl‐N‐methylaziridinium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide, N‐propyl‐N‐ethylaziridinium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide, N‐butyl‐N‐[2‐(2‐methoxyethoxy)ethyl]aziridinium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide, N‐butyl‐N‐methylaziridinium dicyanamide, and
