  Cat lover: A putative prenyltransferase XptB gene has been found in the Aspergillus nidulans genome. The gene was expressed, and the resulting enzyme was purified and characterised. It accepted xanthones, but not benzophenones, as substrates for an O‐prenylation, and its activity was significantly enhanced in the presence of divalent cations.
