  1-dimesitylsiliranes, stable at room temperature over months, have been synthesized from the addition of dimesitylsilylene to 2,3-dimethylbutadiene, 2-methylbutadiene, trans, trans-2,4-hexadiene, cis, cis-2,4-hexadiene, cis, cis-2,4-hexadiene, and cis,-trans-2,4-hexadiene.
