Both terminal and internal propargyl alcohols with diverse structures and functional groups underwent the transformation smoothly to produce β-Bpin-substituted (E)-allylic alcohols, of which the synthetic potentials were demonstrated by the downstream conversions of boronate, alkenyl, and hydroxyl groups.
