hitherto shown in the case of some iron carbonyl compounds. We now present examples of cobalt complexes such as CoCp(η4-TDO) (4) and their derivatives: CoCp(η4-2,5-diphenylthiophenedioxide) (5), CoCp(η4-3,4-diphenylthiophenedioxide) (6), CoCp(η4-tetraphenylthiophenedioxide) (7). CoCp(η4-2,5-di-t-butylthiophenedioxide) (8) and CoCp(η4-di-t-butylthiophenedioxide) (9). Also complexes with the η3-ligand 2-hydrothiophenedioxide
derivatives are η4-donor ligands and form complexes with the Fe(CO)3 moiety. In these compounds the CO groups may be replaced stepwise by phosphanes (PMe3, PPh3, PBu3) or phosphites (P(OMe)3, P(OPh)3). Total substitution is possible with Fe(CO)3(η4-TDO). Electronic effects due to substitution can be followed by IR and NMR-spectroscopy. A novel η2-thiophendioxide complex, Fe(CO)2[P(OMe)3]2(η2-TDO), and a compound
A photosensitive material for electrophotography having high sensitivity and excellent durability, which comprises a photosensitive layer containing at least one of azo compounds having a tetraphenylthiophene or tetraphenylthiophene 1,1-dioxide skeleton.
