Les composés en question sont efficaces dans le traitement des patients qui souffrent de troubles nerveux ou intellectuels dus à des carences en ce qui concerne le nombre ou la puissance des synapses excitateurs ou bien encore en ce qui concerne le nombre des récepteurs de l'AMPA.
