    The present invention suggests a 2-oxo-1,3-dioxolane-4-carboxamide of formula (I), wherein R is an n-valent radical, n is an integer from 2 to 10 and x is an integer from 1 to n-1. The invention furthermore suggests a process for the preparation of the 2-oxo-1,3-dioxolane-4-carboxamide of formula (I) from 2-oxo-1,3-dioxolane-4-carboxylic acid of formula (II) with a polyisocyanate of the formula R(NCO)n, where R and n have the meanings given, and the use of the 2-oxo-1,3-dioxolane-4-carboxamide of formula (I) for the preparation of a 2-oxo-1,3-dioxolane-4-carboxamide-substituted prepolymer.

    Special hydroxysilanes, which can be obtained by reacting β-(3,4-epoxycyclohexyl)alkyltrialkoxysilanes with secondary amines, and adducts of the hydroxysilanes in the form of polymers containing silane groups. The hydroxysilanes can be produced having high purity in a simple process and are very stable in storage after production. The polymers containing silane groups that can be obtained by means of the hydroxysilanes have advantageous properties. The polymers enable moisture-curing compositions, which contain no isocyanate groups and which are suitable as elastic adhesives and sealants.

    A curable composition, a method of making the curable composition, and an article and product produced therefrom are provided. A morpholinedione is contacted with an isocyanate to form a resin composition. The resin composition is reacted with an amine to form the curable composition. Such curable compositions include adhesives, coatings, castings, sealants, elastomers, and foams. After curing, the morpholinedione-derived compositions exhibit improved performance properties such as microhardness, cross-hatch adhesion, and solvent resistance compared to analogous compositions not made with morpholinedione.
