  A modified epoxy resin composition obtainable by: i) reacting one or more epoxy resin compound(s) with a dibasic acid, to obtain an epoxy group conversion of from 10 to 70%, and ii) reacting the resulting dibasic ester group containing epoxy resin with a trihydric primary aliphatic alcohol having of from 5 to 12 carbon atoms, to obtain a conversion of remaining epoxy groups of from 30 to 80%. Said modified epoxy resin compositions have high reactivity and provide cured products having a good balance of adhesion, flexibility and impact strength.
