The thermally unstable compounds Hg(CN)P(CF(3))(2) and Hg[P(CF(3))(2)](2) were obtained by reactions of mercury cyanide and bis(trifluoromethyl)phosphane in solution and characterized by multinuclear NMR spectroscopy.
