    One purifier in accordance with the present invention comprises the first non-woven fabric made from at least one fiber of which material is selected from the group consisting of a polyester, an ethylene polymer, a propylene polymer, an acrylonitrile polymer and a nylon. Another purifier of the invention comprises the second non-woven fabric which is made from fibers including 30-90 weight % of a rayon and 10-70 weight % of a hydrophobic fiber of which material is selected from the group consisting of a polyester, an ethylene polymer, a propylene polymer and an acrylonitrile polymer. The cleaning material of the invention is characterized in that the second non-woven fabric is impregnated with a detergent which includes 5-30 weight % of an alcohol, 0.01-0.5 weight % of a surfactant and 64.7-94.99 weight % of water, and the amount of the detergent is 60-95 weight % based on the total weight of the cleaning material.

    This invention provides a surface-treating agent, as a hard surface-treating agent or stain-proofing agent, comprising titanium oxide of an anatase form, a thermoplastic resin and an organic medium, the titanium oxide and the thermoplastic resin being dispersed in the organic medium, wherein the content of the titanium oxide is within the range of 0.05-20wt% and the content of the thermoplastic resin within the range of 0.05-20wt%. This surface-treating agent is usable for vehicles such as cars and aircrafts, office furniture, or buildings, and has a good workability, stain-proofing effect and water spot formation-preventing effect.

    Non-polar polymeric separation media, such as beads or monoliths, are suitable for chromatographic separation of mixtures of polynucleotides when the surfaces of the media are unsubstituted or substituted with a hydrocarbon group having from one to 1,000,000 carbons and when the surfaces are substantially free from mutivalent cation contamination. The polymeric media provide efficient separation of polynucleotides using Matched Ion Polynucleotide Chromatography. Methods for maintaining and storing the polymeric media include treatment with multivalent cation binding agents.

    A Matched Ion Polynucleotide Chromatography method and system for size-based segregation of a mixture of RNA molecules. The method includes applying the mixture to a polymeric separation medium having non-polar surfaces and eluting the RNA molecules with a mobile phase which includes counterion reagent and an organic component. The preferred surfaces are characterized by being substantially free from multivalent cations which are free to interfere with RNA segregation. The elution is preferably performed at a temperature sufficient to denature the RNA. The method can be used in segregating RNA molecules having lengths in the range of about 100 to 20,000 nucleotides. Improved segregation is obtained using a chromatography column having an ID greater than about 5 mm. Examples of separation media include beads and monolithic columns.
