  Hydroxyalkyl-phenoxy-propan-2-olamines and esters thereof having the formula wherein: R is hydrogen or R5-CO-, R5 is C1-5alkyl, R' is C1-5alkyl, R' is hydrogen or R5-CO-, R3 and R" are independently 1) hydrogen, 2) C1-5alkyl, 3) C1-5alkoxy, 4) halo, or 5) cyano, and n is 1-5. These compounds are oculoselective beta-blockers useful in the treatment of elevated intraocular pressure with little or no effect on the pulmonary or cardiovascular system.
