A photocatalyzed 1,3-boron shift of allylboronic esters is reported. The boron atom migration through the allylic carbon skeleton proceeds via consecutive 1,2-boron migrations and Smiles-type rearrangement to furnish a variety of terminally functionalized alkyl boronates. Several types of migrating variations of heteronuclei radicals and dearomatization processes are also tolerated, allowing for further

α,ω-Dimethylchlorosily-substituted monomeric and oligomeric cyclodisilazanes were prepared by the reaction of dimethyl-dichlorosilane with hexamethylcyclotrisilazane in the molar ratios 1:1 to 1:3. The mechanism of these reactions was investigated.

Chemical modification of aromatic polyphenyl ethers by silylation (trimethylsilyl, dimethylphenylsilyl, methyldiphenylsilyl and siloxanyl groups), has been investigated and shown to give products with improved low-temperature fluidity without change of thermal stability.

This work describes a systematic experimental and theoreticalstudy of the properties of two series of isoelectronic and largely isosteric ligands, namely PPh 2 Me, PPh 2 BH 3 - , and SiPh 2 Me - and SPtBu 3 , SPtBU 2 BH 3 - , and SSitBu 3 - . In addition, we have also investigated the oxoderivatives OPPh 2 BH 3 - and OSiPh 2 Me-. Based on X-ray crystal structure determinations (Fe-CO and C-O bond
