Silyl isoxazolines have been synthesized by [2 + 3] cycloaddition reaction of nitrileoxides and silylnitronates to vinyl- and allylsilanes. The direction of the cycloaddition reaction of nitrileoxides to trialkoxyvinylsilanes has been shown to depend on the nature of the substituents on silicon and on the method used to generate the nitrileoxides. The addition of silyl esters of aci-nitromethane

Reaction of alpha-bromoketone oximes with diazo compounds in the presence of a metal catalyst and base led to the unprecedented formation of two types of rings: Delta(2)-isoxazolines and 1-nitrosopyrazolines. (C) 2008 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
1,3-Cycloaddition of nitrile oxides in ionic liquids. An easier route to 3-carboxy isoxazolines, potential constrained glutamic acid analogues
Several improvements in the cycloaddition of carboethoxyformonitrile oxide (CEFNO) with different alkenes are observed in the ionic liquids [bmim][BF4] and [bmim][PF6]. The possibility of obtaining good yields of the corresponding isoxazolines opens the way towards parallel collections of glutamic acid (Glu) analogues. (C) 2003 Elsevier Science Ltd.
