Monometallic and bimetallic palladium(II)/N‐heterocyclic carbene complexes appended with naphthalimide or bisnaphthalimide moieties were designed, synthesized, and characterized. Faster than conventional coupling: A simple microwave‐assisted protocol for the synthesis of a series of peri‐coupled perylene monoimide derivatives by Sonogashira coupling is reported. This method is significantly faster than the conventional coupling method and provides products with interesting optoelectronic properties in moderate to good yields.
