  Dissociative electron transfer between the anion radical of terephthalonitrile and CF3Br in the presence of olefinic compounds results in the formation of an addition radical which eventually dimerizes into 1,1,1,6,6,6-hexafluoro-3,4-diphenyl hexane, in the case of styrene. The same reaction carried out with the same anion radical and butyl vinyl ether yields 4-(1-trifluoromethyl-2-n-butyloxyethyl)benzonitrile

  在烯烃化合物存在下，对苯二甲腈的阴离子自由基与CF 3 Br之间的离解电子转移导致形成加成基，该加成基最终二聚为1,1,1,6,6,6-六氟-3,4-二苯基如果是苯乙烯，则为己烷。用相同的阴离子基团和丁基乙烯基醚进行相同的反应，得到4-（1-三氟甲基-2-正丁氧基乙基）苄腈。
