  Abstract 4-N-Arylamino-1-butanol derivatives are produced via a palladium-catalyzed tetrahydrofuran ring-opening reaction. This reaction occurs during the reduction of aromatic nitro groups with polymethylhydrosiloxane (PMHS) and potassium fluoride in the presence of hydrogen peroxide.
