  In the title compound, [Cu4I4(N-ethylthiourea)(6)]. H2O (N-ethylthiourea = C3H8N2S), a hexanuclear copper(I) cluster complex, the Cu atoms have tetrahedral coordination. Four such tetrahedra share corners to form a tetrahedral assembly. This cage structure results in the formation of four six-membered Cu-S-Cu-S-Cu-S rings all in the chair conformation.
