Oligoribonucleotidesynthesis has been done by employing newly constructed fully protected ribonucleotide units, S,S-diphenyl 5′-O-dimethoxytrityl-2′-O-tetrahydropyranyl-N-monomethoxytritylnucleoside 3′-phosphorodithioates 7. The units were found to be useful synthetic intermediates for rapid oligoribonucleotidesynthesis.
