This invention describes a chemical preparation method, particularly on an inhibitor of specific type I collagen gene expression. In the present invention, the condensate shown in formula (II) reacts for 12-35h in catalytic hydrogenation solvent under 10~60°C and controlled hydrogen pressure 0.1~1.0MPa with presence of Ni-B non-crystalline alloy catalyst. Then, filter catalyst and reduce pressures on the yielded filtrate to recover the solvent; then adjust pH value appropriately to obtain the formula (I) crude which could be further refined to be final refined product. This invention has advantages in effectively inhibiting generation of by-products and substantially improving the reaction selectivity. As a simple refining method, it can improve product quality and can be applied to large-scale commercial production.
