  The reaction of terminal alkenes with PdCl2 in refluxing 1,2-dichloroethane afforded dichlorobis[(2,3,4-η)-alken-2-yl]dipalladium with yields up to 70% rather than the expected dichlorobis[(1,2,3-η)-alken-1-yl]dipalladium.
