Die Indoline der Formel (I) eignen sich aber auch als Kuppler in Oxidationshaarfärbemitteln mit einem Gehalt an üblichen Entwicklerverbindungen. Hierbei führen sie einer Modifikation der mit dem Entwickler erzielbaren Farbnuancen.
