    [Problem to be Solved] To provide a polyamide having a high melting point, which has excellent strength, toughness, and stability under heating. [Solution] This polyamide is obtained by polymerizing an (a) dicarboxylic acid comprising at least 50 mol% of an alicyclic dicarboxylic acid and a (b) diamine comprising at least 50 mol% of a diamine having a pentamethylenediamine skeleton, wherein the polyamide has a cyclic amino end amount of 30 to 60 µ equivalents/g.

    Method for processing polymer biomaterial composites into pellets including extruding strands of such a composite at a temperature of less than 220°C through a die plate into an underwater pelletizer, cutting the composite strands into pellets, transporting them through a slurry line to a dryer, wherein said step of transporting said pellets includes injecting high velocity air into said water and pellet slurry to cause said water to aspirate from said pellets and said pellets to retain internal heat, to reduce moisture uptake by said pellets, and to expedite transport and drying of said pellets, the injection of high velocity air contacting the pellet water slurry to generate water vapor by aspiration and disperse the pellets throughout said slurry line effectively separating the pellets from the water in the slurry line, and propagating the pellets at an increased velocity to said dryer, and said drying step includes drying said composite pellets with latent heat in said pellets and without additional heating to a moisture level in said polymer biomaterial composite pellets of less than 1%.

    Provided herein are improved methods for the synthesis of reactive conjugate clusters and intermediates used in such methods. In particular, improvements are provided that enhance the synthesis of reactive conjugate clusters by reducing the number of synthetic steps required. The reactive conjugate clusters prepared using the improved methods don't include any transacylation impurities that are formed using existing methods. The improved methods also provide an increase in overall yield and a cost benefit over existing methods.
