摘要:
Tetradentate ligands derived from some isonitrosoacetophenones and benzidine and their binuclear complexes of the type M(2)L(2).4H(2)O {L = bis [2-hydroxyimino-1-(4-X-phenyl)-1-ethylidene]benzidine, X = H, Cl, Br, CH,; M = Fe(TI), Co(II), and Ni (II)} have been synthesized and characterised by elemental analyses, molar conductance, magnetic susceptibility, electronic, PMR and IR spectra. Substitution in the phenyl ring of the complexes produces shifts in the azomethine stretching vibration nu((C=N)) which are related to the Hammett's substituent parameter. The magnetic moments and electronic spectra indicate octahedral geometry for the complexes.
