  The linkage isomers [Re(NCS)(6)](2-) and [Re(NCS)(5)(SCN)](2-) are obtained by the reaction of [ReBr6](2-) with NCS- in dimethylformamide. Some differences in the chemical behavior allowed their separation and structural characterization in the form of (NBu4)(2)-[Re(NCS)(6)] (1) and [Zn(NO3)(Me(2)phen)(2)](2)[Re(NCS)(5)(SCN)] (2), respectively (Bu = n-C4H9 and Me(2)phen = 2,9-dimethyl-1,10-phenanthroline).
