    Template condensation on the Fe2+ ion and exchange reactions of cross-linking groups were used to obtain macrobicyclic germanium-containing iron(II) tris-dioximates, which were isolated as polymeric compounds of the composition [H2FeD3(Ge2O3).x(solvent)]n. IR, UV-vis and (Fe-57) Mossbauer spectra have been obtained.The coordination polyhedron of iron(II) atoms has a trigonal antiprismatic geometry close to octahedral according to the Mossbauer spectroscopic data. The "macrocyclic" ligand field-force increase effect in germanium-containing complexes is close to that in boron-containing clathrochelates and is much more pronounced than in their tin-containing analogues.The polymeric structure was formed through the bridging oxygen atoms of the cross-linking groups.
