Cyclopropanochroman derivatives from the liverwort Radula javanica

Three new cyclopropanochromans, radulanins I, J and K were isolated from the liverwort Radula javanica, along with the previously known three prenyl bibenzyls, radulanins A and H, and 2-geranyl-3,5-dihydroxybibenzyl and a new cuparene-type sesquiterpenoid, (-)-2-(1,2,2-trimethyl)-cyclopentyl-6-methyl-1,4-quinone. The structures of the new compounds were 3-methyl-6-hydroxy-8-(2-phenylethyl)-3,5-cyclopropanochroman, 3-methyl-6-methoxy-8-(2-phenylethyl)-3,5-cyclopropanochroman and 3-methyl-6-hydroxy-7-carboxy-8-(2-phenylethyl)-3,5-cyclopropanochroman from their H-1 and C-13 NMR spectral data.
