    Sol-gel synthesis and characterization of titanium oxo-acetate polymers
    摘要:
    Polymeric precipitates have been obtained from the reaction of an excess of acetic acid with titanium alkoxides. The formula TiO(OAc)2 has been found from chemical analysis and has been confirmed by IR and NMR spectroscopies. All the alkoxo groups have been removed in the course of the reactions. The chemical nature of the compounds is the same whatever the alkoxide may be but the morphology of the powder is affected by the nature of the alkoxide and the experimental conditions. A structural scheme is derived from partial charge calculations relating chemistry to particles morphology.
