Herein, we report a Pd-catalysed alkoxycarbonylation of alkenes based on the use of a recyclable CO2reduction product, the crystalline and air-stableN-formylsaccharin, as a CO surrogate.
palladium‐catalyzed cross‐coupling of activated amides with arylboronic acids has been developed via C–N bond cleavage. This approach demonstrated high tolerance to a variety of alkyl, aryl, heterocyclic and vinyl substituents. Unsymmetrical ketones could be achieved in excellent yield under mild conditions with 1% catalyst loadings.
The first palladium-catalyzed Sonogashira coupling of amides has been developed, which proceeds via a selective cleavage of the N-acylsaccharin C–N bond. The protocol is mild, highly functional group tolerant and can be efficiently employed in the synthesis of a broad array of ynones in 48–98% yields under low catalyst loading and Cu-free conditions.
Provided in a method of producing a plastic bottle in which molding cycle is improved and a highly transparent plastic bottle rarely having a problem of discoloration such as whitening is produced. The method according to the present invention is a method of producing a plastic bottle comprising 0.005 to 0.025 parts by mass of a 1,2-benzisothiazol-3(2H)-one 1,1-dioxide compound with respect to 100 parts by mass of a polyester resin, the method comprising preparing a masterbatch containing 0.01 to 0.5 parts by mass of the above-described 1,2-benzisothiazol-3(2H)-one 1,1-dioxide compound with respect to 100 parts by mass of the polyester resin, subsequently mixing the masterbatch and polyester resin to produce a mixture, and molding the mixture into the shape of a bottle. Further, it is preferred that the above-described polyester resin be a polyethylene terephthalate resin.

Novel conjugates of glycosaminoglycans, particularly heparin and dermatan sulfate, and amine containing species and therapeutic uses thereof are described. In particular, mild methods of conjugating heparins to proteins, such as antithrombin III and heparin cofactor II, which provide covalent conjugates which retain maximal biological activity are described. Uses of these conjugates to prevent thrombogenesis, in particular in lung airways, such as found in infant and adult respiratory distress syndrome are also described.
