Artificial metalloproteins (ArMs) containing Co4O4 cubane active sites were constructed via biotin-streptavidin technology. Stabilized by hydrogen bonds (H-bonds), terminal and cofacial CoIII-OH2 moieties are observed crystallographically in a series of immobilized cubane sites.
