Brönstedacid-catalyzed one-pot synthesis of indoles from o-aminobenzyl alcohols and furans has been developed. This method operates via the in situ formation of aminobenzylfuran, followed by its recyclization into the indole core. The method proved to be efficient for substrates possessing different functional groups, including −OMe, −CO2Cy, and −Br. The resulting indoles can easily be transformed

Palladium-catalyzed direct cross-coupling of aryl chlorides with a wide range of (hetero)aryl lithium compounds is reported. The use of Pd-PEPPSI-IPent or Pd2(dba)3/XPhos as the catalyst allows for the preparation of biaryl and heterobiaryl compounds in high yields under mild conditions (room temperature to 40 °C) with short reaction times.

Unconventional modification of palladium-catalyzed oxidative amination where a furan ring serves as a masked olefin is described. The designed chemical process provides 2-(2-acylvinyl)indole derivatives with up to a 93% yield and excellent E-selectivity. A highly reactive α,β-unsaturated carbonyl moiety of the obtained compounds allows for accessing various heteroaromatic scaffolds through simple synthetic
