The lithium salt of polymer supported phenylethyl amine showed surprisingly high enantioselectivity. in the asymmetric deprotonation reaction of cyclohexene oxide. The polymer supported chiral lithium amide base also proved to be more reactive compared to the free chiral lithium amide base.
