Oxygenation of cyclic diphenyl iodoniums (CDPIs) with varied medium‐ring sizes has been fully investigated. This practical copper‐catalyzed tandem reaction of CDPIs with water as the oxygen source enables the construction of derivatised dibenzofurans and xanthenes at moderate to good yields.
