  Diphenyl[2-(trifluorosilyl)ethyl]phosphine oxide was synthesized by the reaction of diphenyl[2-(triethoxysilyl)ethyl]phosphine oxide with boron trifluoride etherate. As shown by the 1H, 13C, 19F, 31P, 29Si multinuclear NMR spectroscopy data, the silicon atom in the molecule is tetracoordinate.
