The n-perfluoropropyltin compounds (C3F7)4Sn, (C3F7)3SnCH3, (C3F7)2SnR2 (R = CH3 and CH = CH2), (C3F7)2(R)SnCl (R = CH3 and CH = CH2) and C3F7(C6H5)2SnCl were prepared by the reaction of C3F7MgX (X = Cl or Br) with the appropriate organotin halide. A novel 1 : 1 adduct was formed between (C3F7)4Sn and 1,10-phenanthroline. Bromine cleavage of (C3F7)2Sn(CH=CH2)2 gave (C3F7)2SnBr2. (C3F7)4Sn was found
