The synthesis, structures, opticalproperties, and electronicstructures of the tetraphenyltetrathiaporphyrin dication (S4TPP2+, 6) and tetrakis(pentafluorophenyl)tetrathiaisophlorin (S4F20TPP, 7) are reported.
