    Ethylene (co)polymers each having specified values of (1) density, (2) molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn), (3) relationship between die swell (DS) and shear rate (γ) in a region of shear rate (γ), (4) relationship between stress (σ) and maximum stress (σmax) in a stress-strain curve in uniaxial stretching, (5) the ratio of sample diameter to initial sample diameter and the time for sample breakage during uniaxial stretching under a constant tension, laminates and hollow moldings made by using the same. The ethylene (co)polymers are excellent in drawdown resistance, puncture resistance, parison control response, pinch-off properties, durability, and fire resistance.

    The present invention relates to a resin material for an electrical insulating material, an electrical insulating material and electric wire and cable using the same. A resin material for an electrical insulating material according to present invention is characterized in that the resin component thereof comprises an ethylene α-olefin copolymer (A) which satisfies specific conditions, such as a density of 0.92 ~ 0.96 g/cm3, a melt flow rate (MFR) of 0.01 ~ 200 g/10 minutes, a molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn) of 1.5 ~ 5.0, and possessing only one peak in terms of the number of peaks observed in an elution temperature-eluted amount curve as measured by the temperature raising elution fractionation (TREF) method, etc., wherein said resin component contains a unit derived from at least one type of monomer selected from among a carbonyl or carbonyl derivative group-containing monomer, a hydroxyl group-containing monomer, a nitro group-containing monomer, a nitrile group-containing monomer, an aromatic ring-containing monomer, and a compound or monomer containing two or more ethylenic linkages. This resin material for an electrical insulating material is suitable for use in an electrical insulating material for an electric wire and cable, as it exhibits excellent processability and electrical insulating properties without degradation of the mechanical strength, and even after cross-linking, exhibits superior electrical insulating properties.

    The present invention relates to an ethylene-α-olefin copolymer, a composition thereof; a film thereof; a polar group-containing resin material; and productions and use of the ethylene-α-olefin copolymer. The ethylene-α-olefin copolymer of the present invention is characterized in satisfying the following conditions (A) to (E): (A) a density in the range of 0.92 to 0.96 g/cm3; (B) a melt flow rate (MFR) in the range of 0.01 to 200 g/10 min; (C) a molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn) in the range of 1.5 to 5.0; (D) possessing only one peak in terms of the number of peaks observed in an elution temperature-eluted amount curve as measured by the continuous temperature raising elution fractionation (TREF) method, from the integrated elution curve obtained by the elution temperature-eluted amount curve, the difference T75 - T25 in the temperature and density d respectively satisfy a specific relationship, wherein T25 is the temperature where 25% of the total elution is obtained, and T75 is the temperature where 75% of the total elution is obtained; and (E) possessing one or two melting point peaks, and among these the highest melting point Tm1 and the density d satisfy a specific relationship. Accordingly, this ethylene-α-olefin copolymer exhibits a superior thermal resistance, heat sealability, and processability.
