1,2- as well as 1,3-O,O-silyl migration was investigated in detail to successfully clarify that these reaction pathways proceeded so as to yield alkoxides stabilized by strongly electronwithdrawing fluorine-containing methyl groups rather than the sterically less demanding counterparts.
