Perfluoroacenaphythylene has been oxidized with potassium permanganate, to give hexa-fluoro-1,8-naphthalic anhydride and trifluorochemimelltic acid, with nitric acid, to give trifluorochemicalmellitic acid, and with oleum to give hexafluoroacenaphthene-1,2-quinone.
