  Compounds having acenaphthene and indan as their parent nuclei were synthesized for antiinflammatory testing. Compounds which showed activity were 1-phenyl-5-acenaphthenylacetic acid and its alpha-methyl derivative (carrageenan rat paw edema) and the same alpha-methylacenaphthenylacetic acid and 2-(4-chlorobenzylidene)-3-oxo-5-indanacetic acid and its alpha-methyl derivative (rat adjuvant arthritis)

  合成具有啶和茚满作为其母核的化合物用于抗炎测试。表现出活性的化合物是1-苯基-5-ac啶基乙酸及其α-甲基衍生物（角叉菜胶大鼠足水肿），相同的α-甲基ac烯基乙酸和2-（4-氯苄叉基）-3-氧代-5-茚满乙酸和其α-甲基衍生物（大鼠佐剂性关节炎）。没有一种化合物比对照化合物苯基丁a和消炎痛更具活性。
