    Upon formation of a drug into microspheres by O/W solvent evaporation, a mixed solvent of at least one water-insoluble solvent and at least one water-miscible solvent is used as a solvent of an oil phase. A fatty acid or a salt thereof may be added to the mixed solvent. The oil phase may contain at least one glycerin fatty acid ester and/or at least one propylene glycol fatty acid ester, other than the mixed solvent. The oil phase may also comprise the mixed solvent; a fatty acid or a salt thereof; and at least one glycerin fatty acid ester and/or at least one propylene glycol fatty acid ester. The resulting drug-containing microspheres contain the drug at a high concentration and slowly release from the initial stage after administration.

    A polycarbonate resin composition comprising a polycarbonate resin and 0.001 to 1 parts by weight of an N-R type (R represents an alkyl group) hindered amine-based optical stabilizer per 100 parts by weight of the polycarbonate resin, wherein the polycarbonate resin comprises 40 mol% or more of a recurring unit (A) represented by the following formula and satisfies the following formulas (i) to (v), and the resin composition has excellent heat resistance, a low water absorption coefficient and high transparency, and suppresses deterioration during long-term use: (i) a metal compound comprising a negative ion represented by the following formula (B) and a positive ion constituted by a metal is used as a polymerization catalyst in an amount of 1 × 10-9 to 1 × 10-5 molar equivalent relative to the total diol compounds used for polymerization; (ii) the specific viscosity measured with a methylene chloride solution at 20°C is 0.23 to 0.60; (iii) the glass transition temperature is 100°C to 160°C; (iv) the saturated water absorption coefficient is 2.5% or less; and (v) the relationship between the glass transition temperature (Tg°C) and the saturated water absorption coefficient (Wa%) satisfies the following formula (I): 2.5≤Tw value=Tg×0.04−Wa wherein R1 is an alkylene group, a cycloalkylene group, or an arylalkylene group which has 1 to 22 carbon atoms and may be linear or branched.

    A bio-electrode includes an electro-conductive base material and a living body contact layer. The living body contact layer includes a water-free resin layer and a permeation layer on a surface side of the resin layer where a living body comes into contact. The permeation layer is permeated with water and a watersoluble salt selected from the group consisting of sodium salts, potassium salts, calcium salts, magnesium salts, and betaines. This aims to provide: a dry-type bio-electrode that enables quick signal collection after attachment to skin, the bio-electrode being excellent in electric conductivity and biocompatibility, light-weight, and manufacturable at low cost, and capable of preventing significant reduction in the electric conductivity even when wetted with water or dried; a method for manufacturing the bio-electrode; and a method for measuring a biological signal.

    A bio-electrode composition contains (A) a composite of an ionic polymer material and particles.     A bio-electrode composition contains particles having surfaces with an N-carbonyl sulfonamide salt shown by the following general formula (1). R1 represents a linear, branched, or cyclic alkylene group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms and optionally having an aromatic group, ether group, or ester group, or an arylene group having 6 to 10 carbon atoms. Rf represents a linear, branched, or cyclic alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, or an aryl group having 6 to 10 carbon atoms, and optionally has a fluorine atom. M+ represents an ion selected from the group consisting of lithium, sodium, potassium, and silver ions.
