2beta-Carbomethoxy-3beta-[4'-((Z)-2-iodoethenyl)phenyl]tropane (ZIET) and 2beta-carbomethoxy-3beta-[4'-((Z)-2-bromoethenyl)phenyl]tropane (ZBrET) were synthesized as well as their nortropane congeners ZIENT and ZBrENT.
